Named for the Haitian god of agriculture, Azacca® is a hop variety whose citrus and tropical fruit tones dominate the scene. Azacca® burst on the scene a few years back but became a sensation in 2015 when it hit a tipping point. Now, it’s hard to keep it on the shelves.  Goes very well in everything from IPAs to Pale Ales. You may choose to use Azacca® in a heavily hopped west coast IPA when you want a citrusy grapefruit bomb with a tropical finish. You might use it sparingly to get a citrusy base with a stronger grapefruit finish. Its alpha rivals any super alpha hop variety. Whatever the requirement, Azacca® is up to the job.

  • Aroma: Intense and tropical. Sustained impressions of citrus and very ripe mango, with notes of orchard fruit (pears, apples) and pine needles throughout.
  • Maturity: Mid to Late Season
  • Yield: 2,200 – 2,400 lbs/acre
