Synonymous with German brewing, Hallertau is a traditional noble hop with a low acid content and a high aroma profile. This old school “Schatz”, that’s German for “treasure”, has defined a plethora of Bavarian style beers like Lagers, Pilsners and Weizens for decades Hallertau has the oldest lineage and many varieties have spawn from the Hallertau Hop. It’s loose small-to-medium-sized cones provide a blended aroma of blossoming oral, a pinch of spice, and hints of fresh hay.
