saphir

Bred in 2002 as a cross between two fairly newer varieties in 2002, Saphir is known for its extremely low alpha content and its exceptional aromas. It was created with the initial goal in mind to produce a more commercially viable Hop with increased resistance to disease but maintain the noble characteristics of its parents. This flavorful Hop emits aromas of fresh spring flowers, candied citrus and bursts of tangerine. Try it in your Belgium Whites, Pilsners and German Lagers.
