A noble hop variety doesn’t come along often. Granted, the terms “American” and “nobility” don’t go well together. The Liberty hop variety is an exception! Born and bred in the U.S.A. with some Hallertau Mittelfruh parentage, Liberty offers wonderfully mild grassy and hay flavors with a hint of spice and a pleasant orangey-grapefruity citrus background. Liberty goes well in traditional European style beers, but can also deliver the goods in an IPA or other beer style where the pursuit of hoppiness in a unique way is the goal. Liberty is a versatile variety that won’t disappoint.
