Do you want noble hop flavor with an American alpha profile that will stay in the background? Sterling is one hop that delivers just that with a floral flavor and hints of mild spiciness. An excellent substitute for Saaz, Sterling brings its European blue blood to the table together with a hint of American citrus due to some Cascade parentage. Could life get any better? With nearly double the alpha of typical Saaz hop, you’ll need less Sterling, so don’t overdo it if a mild European style beer is the goal.
