U.S. Goldings demonstrate a similar subtle gentle honey-like flavor combined with floral and earthy notes with a hint of spiciness. All these joys can be found in UK Goldings, although, much like the people who immigrated to the U.S. from the U.K., after several generations it can be said that terroir has played a role resulting in a slightly less complex and somewhat bolder version of the original, offering a distinct character all its own.
